Artist's Comments

My second picture from Kolomenskoe is The Church of the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan (or Kazan Cathedral) - has survived to the present day, and is typical of mid-17th century Russian architecture.

Nice angle on this, Karina - and I love the way the pale blue sky, white snow and golden sunlight all echo the colours of the building. Very good. Nice to have you back in action too

Thank you  I think, I like this picture myself...

I like it very much. It has a flair of "eternal Russia", and all the colours are fitting well together. I like specially the light, and it's blue cast, that goes with the cathedral's bulbs and the bright sky.

That's great.

The eyes go first in the middle, on the church then on the tower on the left and finally on the road on the right. Where that road lead?
:iconcyclist:
The road leads to the center of the park, where we can find some more interesting things, and than down to the river.

Thank you. When I look to this picture I myself think about something like "eternal Russia". Very Russian picture from Russia :)
